Custom Concrete Stirrups

Quality is a cornerstone of all we do, and we strongly believe in delivering products that we would buy ourselves. The team’s attention to detail is second to none because we’re as invested in your project as you are. We realize that the smallest detail can impact the performance and longevity of our products, and that’s why we meticulously examine every aspect of our processes, from the initial design stages to the final quality checks.

With A Range of Stirrup Materials

We offer stirrups made from a variety of materials to suit the specifics of your construction needs and environmental conditions. Our selection includes, but is not limited to, stainless steel, bright steel, galvanized steel, and even composite materials. Our metals are selected for durability, strength, and resistance to corrosion, built to withstand the rigors of various construction environments.

With A Variety of Material Thicknesses

Understanding that every project requires different levels of reinforcement, we manufacture masonry stirrups in a range of material thicknesses, from thinner options for lighter applications to thicker, more robust stirrups for heavy-duty construction. We provide customization to meet your project's structural requirements, giving you precise control over not just weight and strength but cost, too, making it easier to balance project needs with budget constraints.

If you’re looking for a partner who understands the needs of your masonry or concrete work, you’ve found it in Vogan Manufacturing. Call today to talk about your project, your concrete stirrup specifications, and how we can streamline your construction needs together.

Common Questions About Stirrups

  • What is the purpose of stirrups in concrete?

Stirrups for concrete, sometimes called masonry stirrups, essentially form an outer layer to the rebar cages that create the “backbone” or “spine” of concrete columns in construction. They’re generally placed at intervals along concrete forms to prevent failure in the final product. Stirrups resist shear forces in concrete and provide lasting strength for structures of all kinds.

  • What’s the difference between ties and stirrups?

Concrete ties are generally straight pieces of rebar that form some of the core reinforcement in lengths of concrete, helping to prevent buckling or torsional failures. Stirrups are usually closed loops that resist shear forces where concrete forms come together. These two components ultimately work together to strengthen concrete columns or beams, and many projects will require both.

  • Do footings need stirrups?

Footings form the deepest foundation of a building’s concrete structure, and because shear force is a less common concern in these settings, masonry stirrups are generally not required as part of forming a footing.
